The UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) terms unsupported software as “obsolete”. If you don’t upgrade your software and apps once they are no longer supported, your business will continue to operate but it won’t perform at optimum levels and you will face a number of risks including “high-impact security incidents… which can cause catastrophic impacts across an entire organisation” (NCSC).
