Security experts have found a new variant of the malicious botnet known as Mirai.

Mirai is a malware that first appeared in 2018. It turns networked devices running Linux into remotely controlled “bots” that can be used as part of a botnet in large-scale network attacks. It primarily targets online consumer devices such as IP cameras and home routers.

Mirai has returned with enhanced features and a revised attack strategy that seeks out vulnerable business devices – specifically, wireless presentation systems and the TVs used to present to rooms full of clients, partners and colleagues.
