Built by the Toyota Motor Corporation, robots will showcase Japanese technology as well as being a useful addition to the Olympic volunteer programme. Known as the Tokyo 2020 Robot Project, multiple robots will assist wheelchair users at the Olympic Stadium by carrying their bags and food, whilst other robots will show people to their seats and provide information about events. A robotic exoskeleton will also be used at venues and within the athlete villages to move heavy objects and for waste disposal.
