For the past few years, Utilize has held an impressive trio of Microsoft Gold partner competencies but we’re delighted to announce that, over the past 12 months, this figure has risen to 5.
We are often asked by clients to explain the significance of a Microsoft Gold partner status. In fact, Microsoft awards these competencies in recognition of a company’s proven experience in delivering quality solutions. The goals to obtaining a competency are based on revenue, active usage, deployed seat count, new customer additions and Microsoft certifications.
It is more than 15 years since Utilize first became a Microsoft Gold Certified partner, motivated by the access our engineers would gain to some exclusive Microsoft tools, utilities and toolkits.
In recent times, the Gold standard has become increasingly difficult to achieve and maintain but our customers are still benefiting directly from the advanced support we receive from Microsoft and our total number of competencies is growing.

This year Utilize has added to its list of Gold partner competencies and is currently working on upgrading its silver partner statuses for Application Development and Collaboration and Content.
Group Managing Director, Guy Hocking, commented: “The progress the team here has made with Microsoft – and specifically our Gold competencies – clearly reflects the investment we are making in training, development and innovation as well as the hard work and enthusiasm of our staff. Utilize engineers are always eager to learn and re-learn the ever-expanding portfolio of Microsoft products and services. It is an exciting time to be in the industry and at Utilize”.
