Utilize has been providing outsourced IT support to this Trade Association since 2018 and the organisation has always been very satisfied with our service, which removes the hassle and stress from the management of its day-to-day technology needs. So, when they decided to move away from BT for their hosted telephony provision in 2020, Utilize was consulted to help research a replacement system.

THE CHALLENGE

The two main issues that this client highlighted with its BT Cloud-based phone solution were service performance and the complicated nature of the contract. They did not feel that BT was able to provide the same exceptional levels of service it had come to expect from Utilize and it found BT’s bills difficult to understand.

In late 2020, when Utilize began studying the viability of replacing BT’s system with its own Horizon hosted phone solution, our client was still adjusting to the ‘new normal’ and wanted to take time to ensure the new service would fully complement its new working practices in a post-pandemic world. Most notably, with 95% of their workforce working remotely, the organisation was expecting that trend to continue.
