We are currently looking to recruit a desk-based Account Manager to join our amazing team. You will report directly to the Account Director Lead and be responsible for managing the direction and relationship of a set of contracted clients. As well as relationship management this role will establish itself as a trusted advisor to those clients and assist them in making technology investment in line with their business requirements. 

 This position requires clear communication, co-ordination, and management. The ability to work logically and maintain control whilst under pressure and make firm decisions based on common sense and judgement in difficult situations is paramount. It requires business acumen and excellent industry knowledge.

We are on key vendor Partner Advisory Councils and have a direct influence over key technology trends, regularly attending councils and conferences across the globe (Microsoft, HPE, VMWare, Sophos, Sage, SonicWALL and Gamma to name a few). The role:

  • Provide advice and technology solutions to a set of contracted clients, focusing on business outcomes and ROI 
  • Maintain relationships with key contacts within each business, adapting delivery based on the audience 
  • Work closely with consultancy, project and service teams to ensure delivery of high quality services and solutions 
  • Manage and maintain existing contract terms and renewals, ensuring relevant contractual obligations are met 
  • Provide contracted clients with required review meetings in line with SLAs and KPIs 
  • Achieve individual MRR targets by supplying the delivery of technology solutions, contracts, and services to existing clients, maintaining a pipeline of active opportunities 
  • Produce high quality proposals and client documentation 
  • Contribute to the success and development of the team, engaging in regular meetings and workshops 

To be successful you will:

  • Ability to occasionally travel to client locations primarily in the South East & London (the role is primarily desk-based at our Basildon office) 
  • Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role 
  • Be qualified to Degree and/or A-Level standard in IT or related subjects; or have equivalent technical/commercial qualifications and experience 
  • Have good planning and organisation skills 
  • Good understanding of current and future technology, with a robust understanding of traditional on-premises IT solutions and modern cloud based solutions 
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals and 365 Fundamentals desirable 
  • An understanding of the commercial impact technology has on a business 
  • Worked within the IT industry, preferably at an MSP
