So pull on your Christmas jumper, grab a mince pie and a festive latte, and take five minutes to catch up on what’s new.
What’s in it for me?
Our favourite new features
#1 Colour-coded Sales and Purchase Ledgers
A simple but incredibly effective enhancement. Colour coding helps new users navigate records more confidently and reduces simple input errors and the rework that follows. A win for both accuracy and onboarding.
#2 Automated Login Management
Disconnected logins are now automatically cleared every 30 minutes. That means smoother access for users and fewer headaches for system administrators trying to track down stuck sessions.
#3 Nominal Journal Function Key Support
Journal entry just got faster. Function key support allows users to copy the line below without repetitive typing. A small change that will save a lot of time for data entry teams.
#4 Bulk Import for Stock Country of Origin
What used to be a slow, manual task can now be handled with import and export tools. Stock control teams will appreciate the efficiency boost.
#5 Read Only User Status
Long requested and finally here. Read Only access makes user management far more flexible, especially when providing access for auditors or temporary staff.
Do I need to upgrade?
Sage currently supports the following versions:
- Sage 200 2025r1
- Sage 200 2024r2
- Sage 200 2024r1
- Sage 200 2023r2
- Sage 200 2023r1
Important:
If you are running a version earlier than 2023r1, you can no longer add users or modules. Only supported versions allow this.
Utilize will continue to support older versions, but please be aware that Sage no longer provides patches or bug fixes for them.
If you are on an unsupported version, speak with your Account Director. They can advise on upgrade requirements, compatible server environments and timelines.
Is my server compatible?
Sage 200 v2025r2 follows Microsoft’s current lifecycle schedule. It no longer supports:
- Windows Server 2019
- Windows 10
If your Sage system runs on either of these platforms, it is definitely time to discuss an upgrade plan. Our team can guide you through the options.
We hope you found this update helpful. If you have questions about any of the above, reach out to your Account Director. They are always happy to talk Sage.
