The Covid-19 lockdown period heavily impacted many third sector organisations, leaving them struggling to engage with their audiences and donors as the impact of social distancing took its toll on their ability to raise money through live events and sponsorship.
Utilize, in partnership with our client and corporate charity, Havens Hospices, worked hard during this challenging time to develop an exciting fundraising opportunity using Microsoft technologies. For nine weeks during the COVID – 19 lockdown, Utilize hosted the Haven Hospice Virtual Quiz every Tuesday evening to help raise vital funds for the charity.
Utilize delivered these virtual events using the Microsoft Teams Live Event feature, with over 450 quizzers answering questions and interacting with the live chat feed at the height of these virtual quiz evenings. Hosted by patron and radio Essex presenter Sue Harrison the quizzes featured special guest appearances from celebrities such as Dame Helen Mirren, Shirley Ballas, and Chris Akabusi.
We are extremely proud of the ongoing work we do with Havens Hospices and were delighted to have played our part in raising over £16,500 for the charity using Microsoft Teams Live Events.
