Sage 200 Business Intelligence (BI) ensures you
receive the maximum benefit from your business systems, by enabling
the extraction of real intelligence from data accumulated every day
in the normal course of operations. Sage 200 BI provides a powerful

Jamie, tell us a little about the principles behind Sage Business Intelligence.
Business Intelligence is a move away from complex spreadsheets that
are a drain on system resources. It has always been possible to use
Excel to analyse Sage data but, previously, knowledge of the backend
database and ODBC links was required in order to import the figures
into a spreadsheet. Business Intelligence does not require this
technical knowledge, so it’s much quicker and easier for the user.
This really is an impressive module that enables the user to run
sophisticated queries for planning, forecasting and financial
reporting with just a basic knowledge of Excel. Reports are simple
to create and amend and Business Intelligence runs far quicker than
previous Sage reporting options. |

Sage 200 BI is now an integral part of the latest version of the Sage 200 Suite. So there are no software costs associated with this module however an upgrade to the latest version may be required. Consultancy days would be needed to perform this upgrade and to provide training on the new module. I would strongly recommend that any Sage 200 customer considered Sage 200 BI for the analysis and reporting benefits that can be achieved.
